Pain is an experience that negatively affects a person's life. When choosing the intervention strategies to be planned for the treatment of pain, an accurate assessment of the patient's level of pain is crucial. Asking the patient if they are in pain is the simplest way to determine their level of pain. However, a simple "yes or no" assessment is insufficient. To assess pain, both single-dimensional and multidimensional scales are employed nowadays. In this article, due to the subjectivity and individuality of pain; Information about commonly used pain scales developed specifically for certain patient populations will be given.en_US
