Özet
Öz: Bu çalışmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine olan tutumlarını cinsiyet, mezun olunan lise türü, aile gelir durumu ve baba öğrenim durumu değişkenleri açısından incelemektir. Çalışma grubunu Fırat, İnönü ve Erzincan Üniversitesi sınıf öğretmenliği anabilim dalında öğrenim gören 140'ı kız, 172'si erkek olmak üzere toplam 312 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Tarama modelinin kullanıldığı bu araştırma betimsel niteliktedir. Araştırmanın verileri, kişisel bilgi formundan ve 5 li Likert tipi ölçekten oluşan öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin tutum ölçeğinden elde edilmiştir. Ölçekteki veriler SPSS 15.0 paket programında frekans, aritmetik ortalama ve yüzde dağılımı teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Ayrıca değişkenler arasında korelasyon çözümlemesi de yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ışığında, öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine olan tutumları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının mezun olunan lise türü ve baba öğrenim durumu dışında cinsiyet ve aile gelir durumu değişkenlerine göre meslek tutumlarında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Genel olarak öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin tutumlarının olumlu olduğu, ancak tutum puanlarının çok yüksek olmadığı görülmüştür.
Abstract: This study was conducted to investigate the attitudes of teacher candidates towards teaching profession in terms of variants such as gender, graduated high school type, family income and educational status of fathers. The study consisted of 312 preservice teachers including 140 female and 172 male students attending to department of primary education classroom teacher division in Fırat, İnönü and Erzincan Universities. In the research, descriptive methods used quantitative datas were used. The research data was consisted of personal information and relating to scale of attitude which was 5 Likert type toward the teaching profession. The datas on scale were analyzed using frequency, mean, percentage distribution techniques. Moreover correlation analysis was performed among variants. In light of obtained data, attitudes of students toward teaching profession has been tried to determine. In the result of research, significant differences were found according to gender, and family income status of candidates' attitudes in teaching, except for graduated high school type and father education status. In general, it has been observed that teacher candidates' attitudes were positive, but scores weren't high.
