Abstract
Her ilim dalı gibi Tasavvuf ile alakalı da birçok eser yazılmıştır. Bu çalışmamız; tasavvuf evrelerinin birincisi kabul edilen zühd döneminin tarihsel arka planına dikkat çekme düşüncesinden yola çıkılarak hazırlanmıştır. Tasavvufu ortaya çıkaran nedenlere bu bağlamda yer verilmediği görülerek, bu çalışmayla tasavvufun doğuşunun aydınlatılması, böylece tasavvuf tarihine bir nebze katkı sunulması hedeflenmiştir. Çünkü tasavvufun bazı yönleriyle eleştirilmesinin ve iyi anlaşılamamasının temelinde, zühd döneminin tasavvuf ile birlikte düşünülmemesi ve bu dönemin tasavvuftan ayrı olarak ele alınması vardır. Tasavvufu farklı kaynaklara dayandıran anlayışlara karşı tasavvufun doğuşunda en büyük etkenin zühd olduğu üzerinde yapılan bu çalışma, daha önce yapılan çalışmalardan farklı olarak dönemin sosyo-ekonomik durumunu, tarihsel ve siyasal olaylar bağlamında sunmaktadır. Tezimiz giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında araştırmanın konusu, önemi, yöntemi ve kapsamından bahsedilmiştir. Birinci bölümde zühd döneminin temel özellikleri hakkında detaylı bilgilendirmeye gidilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, tasavvufun doğuşu hakkında bilgi verilerek tasavvufu ortaya çıkaran nedenler araştırılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise zühd döneminin mimarları olan zahid ve âlimlerin zühd anlayışları ve bu dönemde meydana gelen olaylara karşı gösterdikleri tavır ve tepkileri sunulmuştur. Like all of the scientific fields, many works have been written about Islamic Sufism, as well. This study was made moving from the idea of attracting attention to the historical background of zuhd (ascetism) stage, which is regarded as the first of the sufistic stages. Seeing that the reasons generating Islamic Sufism are not given place within this context, it is aimed by this study to enlighten the origin of Islamic Sufism and by this way to make some contribution to the history of Sufism. Because in the root of the criticism against some characteristic of Sufism and its not being able to be understood in a good way, there lies not thinking Islamic Sufism together with the zuhd period and considering this period as distinguished from Islamic Sufism. This study, which is made on the fact that the greatest factor in the generation of Islamic Sufism is zuhd against some understandings which base Sufism on different sources, presents the socio-economical state of the period within the context of historical and political events unlike the previous studies done on this field. The thesis consists of introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, the subject, importance, method and scope of the study were given. In the first chapter, detailed information about the basic characteristics of the zuhd stage was presented. In the second chapter, by giving information about the generation of Islamic Sufism, reasons originating it were researched. In the third chapter, the zuhd understanding of the zaheds and scholars, who were the architects helping generate zuhd stage, and their attitudes and reactions to the event of their age are presented.
