| dc.description.abstract | Santral venöz kateterler kronik hastaların bakımında yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Çoğu invaziv prosedürde olduğu gibi, santral venöz kateterlerin takılması ve uzun dönem takibi de birçok potansiyel komplikasyonu barındırır. Bu komplikasyonlar arasında pnomotoraks, enfeksiyon, kanama, aritmi, malpozisyon ve tromboz iyi bilinen komplikasyonlardır. Nadir fakat ciddi bir komplikasyon olan kateter kırılması ve sonrasında kalpden pulmoner artere embolizasyon kateter kırılması işaretlerini gösteren olguların, pinch off işareti, %4 kadarında görülmektedir. Bu işaret hekimlerin bu komplikasyonu akılda bulundurdukları takdirde kolay tanınabilen, işlem sırasında sakınılabilen ve potansiyel komplikasyonlardan kolayca korunmalarını sağlamasıyla önem taşımaktadır. Biz bu vaka sunumuyla kendi deneyimimizi paylaştık ve konu ile ilgili literatürdeki başlık ve komplikasyonları uygulama pratiğine uygun olarak tartıştık. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Central venous catheters are widely used in the care of chronically ill patients. As with most invasive procedures, central venous catheterisation is associated with numerous potential complications both during placement and later in long term maintenance. Pneumothorax, infection, bleeding, arrhtythmias, malposition and thrombosis are well known complications. A rare but serious complication is catheter fragmentation with subsequent embolisation through the heart into the pulmonary artery occuring in approximately 4% of patients who develop the possible precursor warnings of catheter fragmentation, the so called pinch of sign. We report a case of our own experience and summarize the current literature on this specific topic and complications in order to emphasize preventive practice guidelines. | en_US |
