Özet
Öz: Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim okullarındaki sınıf öğretmenlerinin eğitim programlarınauygun olarak dersi planlama, sınıf ortamını düzenleme ve konuya uygun materyal hazırlamadaki yeterlikleri ile sosyo-kültürel özellikleri arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Anket, Gaziantep il merkezinde ikisi özel, dördü devlet okulu, Nizip ilçesinde birisi özel, altısı devlet okulu ve ilçeye bağlı üç köy okulu olmak üzere toplam16 ilköğretim okulunda uygulanmıştır. Anketi toplam 159 sınıf öğretmeni yanıtlamıştır. Elde edilen veriler, SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Çözümleme sonucunda p<.05 düzeyinde anlamlı bulunan sonuçlar, tablolarlagösterilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda anne ve babalarının eğitim düzeyi ve maddi durumu yüksek olan, özel okulda çalışan, sınıf mevcudu 15 ile 20 arası olan sınıf öğretmenlerinin lehine anlamlı bir farklılaşma bulunmuştur.
Abstract: In this study, relationships between teachers&#8217; socio-cultural characteristics and their competency with lesson planning, and designing learning environments and materials were examined. This study had a survey design. The questionnaire was administered totally in 16 elementary schools including two private and four public schools in Gaziantep, one private and six public schools in Nizip and three public schools in a village. The number of teachers participated in the study was 159. Collected data were analyzed through SPSS 15.00 for Windows. After data analysis, findings which are statistically significant were presented through tables. According to the results, statistically significant differences were reported in favor of teachers teaching in private schools with smaller class size between 15-20 whose parents have earned higher levels of education and have had higher socioeconomic status.
