dc.description.abstract | Inaccurate planning and methods of land cover / use occurring in the basins increase the intensity and frequency of flood events. The fact that floods are predictable before they occur is of great importance for preventive activities. Therefore, modeling of the basin; plays an important role in planning and developing local resources. In this study, flooding in İnebolu basin of Kastamonu province is modeled. In this context, GIS-based, flexible and user-friendly grid-based software is developed. Surface water retention capacity and the amount of water flowing on the surface were calculated for each grid. Thus, flood formation areas could be determined in the region where the study was carried out. © 2019 IEEE. | en_US |
