| dc.description.abstract | Öz: Bu çalışmada ihracat ve ithalat değişkenlerinin her birinin döviz kuru ile olan ilişkisinin ekonometrik zaman serileri metodolojisi bağlamında incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ocak 1995-Haziran 2004 dönemine ait aylık verilerin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada eş-bütünleşme için önkoşul olan serilerin durağanlığı araştırılmış ve bunların (d,D)=(l,l) mertebeden durağan olduğu görülmüştür. Bu durumda sahte regresyon sorunu yaşanmamakla birlikte, özellikle döviz kuru ile ihracat ve ithalatın her biri ile bire bir ekonometrik bir ilişki kurulamamış, ancak 2001 devalüasyon etkisi anlamlı bulunmuştur. Başlık (İngilizce): Exchange Rate Foreign Trade Relationship: Case of Turkey Öz (İngilizce): The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship of export and import variables with the exchange rate, using econometric time series methodology. Employing monthly data from January 1995 to June 2004, as a precondition of co-integration, the stationary of series investigated and it is found that each of the series are integrated of order (d, D)=(l,l). In this case, although there would not be any spurious regression problem, no econometric relation have been established between exchange rate and each of export and import variables. Nevertheless, the impact of 2001 devaluation on each of trade variables has been found to be significant. | en_US |
