| dc.description.abstract | Lebîd b. Rebîa câhiliye döneminde yetişen en önemli şâirlerden olup, şiiri eleştirmenlerin süzgecinden geçerek dönemin eşsiz, nadide şiiri olarak adlandırılan muallakâ sahiplerinden biridir. Genç yaşta şiir söylemeye başlayan Lebîd, kısa zamanda dönemin en büyük şâirleri arasındaki yerini almıştır. Onu en önemli şâir kılan vasıfı muallakâ sahibi ve muallakâ sahipleri arasında islâmı kabul eden tek şâir olmasıdır. Bu çalışmada şâir ve şiirin Arap toplumundaki yeri, şâirin hayatı, edebi kişiliği eski Arap şiirindeki konular ve şâirin muallakâda ele aldığı konuları işlenmiş, muallakâ ve eski arap şiirinin özellikleri anlatılarak çalışma tamamlanmıştır.
