Abstract
Öz: İbn Haldûnun Mukaddimesi, tarih ve sosyal bilimler hakkında yazılmış önemli eserlerden biridir. Aslında el- İber ve Divânul-Mubtedei vel- Haber adlı tarih kitabına bir önsöz olarak yazılan Mukaddime, önemine binaen zaman içinde müstakil bir kitap haline gelmiştir. Bu makalede İbn Haldûnun Mukaddimede ele aldığı Arap dili ve eğitimi ile ilgili meseleler ele alınmış, gerektiğinde başka dil bilimcilerin görüşlerine de müracaat edilmiştir. İbn Haldûn, VIII. asırda yaşamış bir ilim adamı olmasına rağmen Arap dili ve öğrenimine dair yaptığı tahliller ve çözüm önerileri hala güncelliğini korumaktadır
Abstract: Ibn Khaldun s Muqaddimah is one of the prominent works written on history and social sciences. In fact Muqaddimah, which was written as an introduction to the history book titled el-Iber, turned into a separate work in the course of time due to its significance. In this study, the topics of Arabic language and teaching of Arabic as discussed by Ibn Khaldun in Muqaddimah are elaborated and if need be, the thoughts of some other linguists are referred to. Although Ibn Khaldun was a scholar who lived in VIII. century, his analyses and solution suggestions on Arabic language and teaching of Arabic are still valid.
