Özet
İletişim, bireylerin, toplulukların ve toplumların çevreleriyle kurduğu anlam üretme sürecidir. Bu süreç, tarih boyunca çeşitli biçimlerde ortaya çıkmış; düşüncelerin, duyguların ve toplumsal gerçekliklerin aktarılmasında farklı ifade araçları kullanılmıştır. Sanat, bu araçlardan biri olarak, toplumsal ve kültürel kimliklerin oluşumuna katkı sağlamaktadır. Grafiti ise, kentsel mekanda ortaya çıkan ve anlamını büyük ölçüde bulunduğu bağlamdan alan bir sanat olarak bu çerçevede değerlendirilmektedir. "Toplumsal İletişim Bağlamında Grafiti ve Uygulama Örnekleri" başlıklı bu tez kapsamında grafitinin tarihsel süreci, kamusal alandaki görünürlüğü, taşıdığı mesajlar ve toplumla kurduğu etkileşimler incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, Banksy, Lady Pink, Futura 2000, Blek Le Rat ve Space Invader gibi sanatçılara ait eserler üzerinden grafitinin toplumsal iletişimdeki rolü analiz edilmiştir. Grafitinin protesto, kimlik ifadesi ve alternatif eğitim imkanı olarak işlevselliği, estetik boyutunun ötesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında gerçekleştirilen grafiti uygulamaları, sanatın kamusal alanda eğitsel, eleştirel ve iletişimsel bir araç olarak etkili biçimde kullanılabileceğini ortaya koymuştur. Özellikle sanat eğitimi bağlamında, bireylerle dolaylı, doğrudan ve katılımcı bir etkileşim sağladığı görülmüştür. Yaygın eğitim kapsamında değerlendirilen grafitinin toplumun tüm kesimiyle iletişim halinde olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Communication is the process of meaning production that communities and societies establish with their environment. This process has emerged in various forms throughout history; Different tools were used to convey details, details and social realities. Art, as one of these tools, contributes to the formation of social and cultural identities. Graffiti, on the other hand, is evaluated in this context as an art that occurs outside and has a wide-ranging content. Within the scope of this thesis titled "Graffiti and Application Example in the Context of Social Communication", the historical process of graffiti, its visibility in public space, the messages it carries and its interactions with the society are examined. In the study, the role of graffiti in social communication was analyzed through works by artists such as Banksy, Lady Pink, Futura 2000, Blek Le Rat and Space Invader. The functionality of graffiti as protest, identity expression and alternative education opportunity has been evaluated beyond its aesthetic dimension. Graffiti applications carried out within the scope of the research have revealed that art can be used effectively as an educational, critical and communicative tool in the public sphere. It has been observed that it provides indirect, direct and participatory interaction with individuals, especially in the context of art education. It has been concluded that graffiti, evaluated within the scope of non-formal education, is in communication with all segments of society.
