| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada Birleşik Krallık’ta ulus devletin oluşumu ve sorunlarının dönemler halinde incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla sürdürülen çalışmada, tarihsel ve betimsel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle Birleşik Krallık’ın ulus devlet profili betimlenmiştir. Daha sonra da Birleşik Krallık’ta ulus devletin oluşumu ve sorunları, tarihsel dönemler halinde ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda şu bulgu ve sonuçlara erişilmiştir: Kapitalistleşmenin ve toplumsal entegrasyonun erken dönemde sağlandığı Birleşik Krallık, güçlü bir merkeziyetçilikten ve asimilasyonculuktan sürekli kaçınmıştır. Esnek bir anayasal devlet yapısına sahip olan Birleşik Krallık’ta ulusçuluk, eşitlikçi ve barışçıl nitelikler arz etmektedir. Westminster Modeli’ni günün koşullarına göre revize eden Birleşik Krallık, Kuzey İrlanda Sorunu gibi kronikleşen tarihsel sorunlarını siyasi diyalog ve ekonomik tedbirlerle çözme yoluna gitmiştir. Parlamenter demokrasinin kökleştiği Birleşik Krallık, Avrupa Bütünleşmesi konusunda da Avrupalı devletlerden farklı bir tutum izlemiştir. | dc.description.abstract | In this study, the aim was to examine the formation and problems of a nation-state in the United Kingdom in periods. For this purpose, historical and descriptive research methods were made use of. In the study, firstly, the nation-state profile of the United Kingdom was defined. Then, the formation and problems of the nation-state in the United Kingdom were investigated in periods. The following result was obtained at the end of the study: The United Kingdom, where capitalization and social integration were ensured in early periods, always avoided strong centralization and assimilation. In the United Kingdom, which adopts a flexible constitutional state structure, nationalism has equalitarian and peaceful characteristics. The United Kingdom revised the Westminster Model according to the conditions of our present day, and solved her historical and chronic problems like Northern Ireland with political dialogue and economic measures. The United Kingdom where democracy has strong roots, followed a different route than other European states in the integration of Europe.
