Purpose We aimed to determine the posttraumatic stress levels and the factors affecting them in couples (154 women and 154 men) after a perinatal loss in Turkey. Conclusions In women, an ending of the pregnancy between gestational weeks 30 and 37 and being employed reduced the posttraumatic stress level. In men, seeing the baby after birth, having no alcohol, and having high education and income levels decreased the posttraumatic stress level. Practice Implications Knowledge of the factors affecting posttraumatic stress may help identify those couples in whom the probability of this disorder occurring is increased.en_US
