Özet
Cultural elements reflecting the collective memory and values of society have been expressed throughout human history, especially through music, and these sonic expressions have become one of the most powerful tools of public emotions and thoughts. More than just a means of entertainment, music has built a structure that carries meaning and value in a social context, builds a cultural identity and has a religious or spiritual aspect. From an ethnomusicological perspective, music is not only a means of cultural expression, but also a bridge between cultures. In this study, which is based on the music culture of Sütlüce Village, the relevant literature was reviewed and a description of the belief system, social structure and cultural memory was made through participant observation and interviews. The sonic patterns that constitute the subject of the study exhibit a multi-layered structure that lives and transforms with both secular and religious dimensions and ensures cultural continuity with the ritualistic meanings it carries. In the denominator of secular music practices, its implications for the rhythm of daily life in terms of formal, performance and content, and in the denominator of the religious repertoire performed in cem rituals, the dynamic and unique religious music tradition of the region is described. The findings of the research reveal that the music culture of Sütlüce Village has a multi-layered structure and that this structure represents an important local heritage that ensures cultural continuity. The secular music repertoire includes long airs, broken airs, game folk songs and dengbêj performances, and the themes in these forms are directly related to daily life. In religious music performances, forms such as semah, deyiş, tevhit, duvaz-ı imam and mersiye, performed with instruments such as tembur, balta sazı and cura, and melodic, rhythmic and makam content specific to the region constitute the outputs of the study.
