Abstract
Günümüzde sosyal bilimler için ayrı bir önemi ihtiva eden “küreselleşme” kavramı bir taraftan ortak bir kültürle dünya toplumlarının birbirine benzeşme süreçlerini ve buna bağlı olarak da tek bir global kültürün ortaya çıkmasını, diğer taraftan da toplulukların kimlik ve yaygınlaşmasını anlamını taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda Avrupa Birliği adı verilen bütünleşme çabası da küreselleşen dünya gerçeğini yansıtan bir güç olmakla birlikte küreselleşmeye karşı bir yanıt ve savunmayı da ifade etmektedir. Bu nedenle “yerelleşme” adı verilen süreç, ekonomik anlayışa ek olarak siyasal, kimliksel ve sosyal anlamlar da taşımaktadır. Bu noktadan hareketle bu çalışma, Türkiye’nin batılılaşma eğiliminin son görünümlerinden olan Avrupa Birliği ile olası bir üyeliğin, pek çok alanın yanı sıra dinî hayatımızda nasıl bir etki bırakacağı sorusuna cevap aramakta ve gelecekte bu alanda bizi bekleyen korku ve ümitlere dair projeksiyonlara ulaşmaya çalışmaktadır
Today, the concept of "globalization" which containing particular meaning for the social sicences, from one side, the process of resemblence to each other of the world the societies with the common culture and accordignly appearing only one common global culture, on the other hand it carries the meaning of the identity of the society and their extension. In that context, the integrity effort called European Union, is the force that also reflects the truth of the globalization of the world, as well as it means a respond against globalization and defence.Because of this reason, the process called "localization" also carries political, identitical and socials meanings,in addition to the economical understanding. From this point, this work,one of the latest views of Turkeys' westernization tendancy that the possible European Union membership, seek for the answer of the question: besides many areas, how it will especially affect our religional living and it tries to reach to the projections regarding to fears and hopes that have been waiting us in this field for the future.
