| dc.description.abstract | Toplumsal ve bireysel kimliklerin kurulması noktasında etkisini her geçengün arttıran medya, iletişim teknolojilerinin yoğun etkisine maruz kalan günümüz toplumunda cinselkimliği şekillendiren önemli bir araçtır. Çalışma temelde cinsel kimlik ve eşcinsellik kavramlarının televizyon haberciliğindeki sunum biçimlerine ilişkin irdeleme amacını taşımaktadır. Çalışmanın merkezinde farklı bir cinsel kimliğe karşılık gelen eşcinsel kavramı yer almaktadır. Son zamanlarda toplumsal cinsiyet konusunun merkezinde yeralan eşcinsel kimliğin medyada sunum biçimi televizyon haberleri üzerinden tartışılmaktadır. Televizyon haberlerinin “biz” ve “onlar” merkezli kutuplaşmalara sebep olduğu ve eşcinsellere karşı geliştirilen bakış açısının da bu şekilde biçimlendirildiği düşüncesinden hareketle, heteroseksüel cinsiyet alanının koruyucusu konumundaki habercilik anlayışının eşcinsellere bakış açısında da kendini gösterdiği düşünülmektedir. Çalışma, toplumsal cinsiyet konulu literatür taramasının yanı sıra kavramsal çerçeveyi belirleyen eşcinselliğin haber değeri, niteliği, kaynak olma durumu ve haber aktörü olarak pozisyonu gibi konular da örnek haberlerle birlikte irdelenmektedir | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | As becoming more and more effective in the formation of social and individual identities, the media acts as an important tool that shapes the gender identity in today‟s society which is highly exposed to the communication technologies. The studyes sentially aims at examining reporting manners as to gender identity and homosexuality concepts in the television news. At the heart of the study is the homosexuality concept corresponding to a different gender identity. As having recently become the central theme of the social gender issue, the manner of reporting of the homosexualidentity in 1288 themedia is argued through the television news. Based on the assumption that the television news causes polarisations as „‟you‟‟ and „‟they‟‟ and that this is how the standpoint is shaped against the homosexuals, journalism mentality- as the protector of the heterosexual genderarea- has revealed itself about its point of view again sthomo sexuals, too. Apart fromits literature review about the social genderissue, the study examines the homosexuality- as well as samplenews- through its being news worthiness, being news resource and getting position as a newsactor. | en_US |
