| dc.description.abstract | Aristo‟dan günümüze birçok şekilde tanımlanmış olan Sivil toplum ve onun vücut bulmuş hali olan Sivil Toplum Kuruluşları (STK‟lar) bugün daha önce hiç olmadığı kadar önem kazanmıştır. Kamu ve özel sektörden sonra üçüncü sektör olarak bilinen veya başka bir ifade ile Siyaset, Askeriye, Sermaye ve Medya‟dan sonra beşinci güç olarak tanımlanan Sivil Toplum günümüzde sosyal olayların başlıca belirleyicilerinden biridir. Son yıllarda Sivil Toplum, teknolojik gelişmeler ve internetin yaygınlaşması ile Sosyal Medya üzerinden çok daha etkin bir hale gelmiştir. Sosyal Medya özellikleri ve imkânları itibari ile Sivil toplumun birtakım açmazlarını giderme ve ona yeni bir boyut katma açısından oldukça önemlidir. Çalışmada öncelikle geçmişten günümüze sivil toplum kavramı ve geçirdiği evrim ele alınacak ardından sosyal medya ile ortaya çıkmaya başlayan yeni sivil toplum modeli ile mevcut sivil toplum yapıları karşılaştırılarak 2011 yılına damgasını vuran “Arap Baharı” ve “Wall Street‟i işgal Et” eylemleri incelenmeye çalışılacaktır | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Civil Society, having been defined in multiple ways since Aristotle, and its embodied version Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have come into prominence much more than ever. The Civil Society, known as the third sector after the Community/Public and Private Sector or in other words, the fifth power after the Politics, Military, Capital and Media, has become one of the determinants of the social events nowadays. Recently, Civil Society, with the help of the technology and thanks to the spread of the internet, has become much more effective with the Social Media. Social Media, with its facilities and features, is important from the aspects that it resolves the Civil Society`s dilemmas and adds a new dimension to it. In the study/research firstly, Civil Society concept from the past to today, and its evolutions will be dealt and `Arab Spring` and `Occupy Wall Street` marking the year 2011 will be tried to examine by comparing the new Civil Society model rising with the Social Media and existing Civil Society structures. | en_US |
