| dc.description.abstract | Benign prostat hiperplazisinin tedavisinde altın standart kabul edilen Transüretrai prostat rezeksiyonuna alternatif olabilecek bir yöntem olarak öne sürülen laser prostatektominin etkinliğini araştırmak üzere 35 hastaya laser prostatektomi (Nd:YAG laser) uygulandı ve sonuçları tartışıldı. Preoperat'ıf ve postoperatif 6. ayda objektif parametreler (IPSS, rezidü ve maks'ımal idrar akım hızı) gözönüne alındığında anlamlı bir iyileşme olduğu saptandı (p<0.001) Sonuçta maliyet ve etkinlik gözönüne alındığında TURP'a bir üstünlüğü olmadığı, ancak morb ¡d te açısından bir avantajı olduğu sonucuna varıldı. Bu özelliği nedeniyle laser prostatektominin genel durumu bozuk ve ağır medikai problemi olan hastalarda TURP'a alternatif bir tedavi metodu olabileceği sonucuna varıldı. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In order to assess the efficiency of laser prostatectomy that can be an alternative procedure to TUR-P which is the gold standart in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia, 35 patients underwent laser prostatectomy (Nd: YAG laser) and the results are discussed. When objective parameters (IPSS, residual and maximum urine rate) are taken into consideration preoperativeiy and postoperativeiy at 6th month, significant improvement was found (p<0.001). As a result, laser prostatectomy seems superior to TUR-P in terms of to morbidity but not of cost and efficiency. Therefore laser prostatectomy can be an alternative treatment modality to TUR-P especially in patients whose general condition is not well and who has serious medical problems. | en_US |
