Özet
Printed textile design is an integral process to decorate both our clothing and design objects. Printed textiles have been displaced by modern production techniques such as transfer print in their historical process starting with traditional production techniques like tie dye, block printing and natural dying. This progress enabled forming detailed patterns and using limitless colors on the surface design of textiles. With the new communication media that arose with technology and artistic manner of expression, typography makes possible different expressions in terms of content and aesthetics on textile surface. How the craft-based design feeds typography and the new dimensions that it has brought to textile design have been researched in this article. How and in which way crafts, arts and design togetherness turn into practice has been examined over design objects composed using traditional production techniques such as quilt technique and modern production techniques such as sublimation printing and digital drawing.
