Özet
Üniversite yerleşkeleri, yükseköğretim amacıyla hizmet veren tesis ve binaların, açık ve kapalı mekanların,
öğrencilerin, akademik ve idari personel ile ailelerinin de bulunduğu yerleşmelerdir. Bu yerleşmelerde, akademik ve
idari personel konutlarının içerisinde rektör konutları diğerlerinden ayrılmaktadır. Üniversite yerleşkelerinde yaşayan
nüfusun en büyük amiri olan ve üniversiteyi temsil eden rektörlerin kurumsal kimliklerinden dolayı, rektör konutlarının
da bu kurumsal ve hiyerarşik kimliği simgeleyen ve yansıtan bir mekan organizasyonu ile tasarlanması gerekmektedir.
Bu düşünceden hareketle, Bartın Üniversitesi yerleşkesinde yapılacak olan Rektör Konutu binasının gerek yer seçimi,
gerekse mimari tasarım sürecinde, rektörlük makamının temsil değeriyle bağdaşan, işlevsel, ekolojik ve estetik bir
mimari ürünün yaratılması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca, tasarlanan Rektör Konutu ve Kabul Salonu binalarında, geleneksel
mimariden yola çıkılarak özgün detaylar üretilmiştir.
University campuses are the settlements in which there are a lot of buildings and establishments, open and closed spaces serving to higher education and students, academic and administrative staffs and their families are living. In these settlements, rector houses are different from the houses of academic and administrative staffs. Due to the fact that the rectors is the major chief of the people living in the campus and has an institutional identity to represent the whole university, rector houses should be designed by means of a spatial organization reflecting their institutional and hierarchic identities. Therefore, in both location and architectural design process, it is aimed that a functional, ecological and aesthetic architectural product will be created. Furthermore, taking as a reference traditional architecture in Bartın and historical settlements, unique architectural details were designed for Rector House and Reception Room buildings
