Özet

The study was conducted to determine the effect of ego resilience levels of 60–72-month-old children on their self-regulation skill levels. The sample of the study consisted of 340 children selected by stratified sampling method from the population. Data were collected through Personal Information Form, Child Ego Resilience Scale and Self-Regulation Skills Scale for 4–6 Year Old Children (Teacher Form). Correlation, regression analysis, one-way analysis of variance and t-test were used to analyze the data. In the study, it was determined that children had above average ego resilience and self-regulation skills. A significant, moderate and positive relationship was found between the total score of the ego resilience scale and the total score of the self-regulation skills scale. According to the score, it was determined that the ego resilience levels of 60–72-month-old children were above average. As a result, it was concluded that ego resilience of 60–72-month-old children significantly predicted their self-regulation skills. © 2025 Elsevier Masson SAS
