| dc.description.abstract | Araştırmada, 19 Mayıs 1919'da Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'ndaki Yabancı Dilde Eğitim Yapan Okulların tarihsel gelişiminden başlayarak, amaçlarının tespit edilmesi ve bu konudaki faaliyetlerin Türk toplumuna etkilerinin incelenmesi ve günümüze ışık tutması amaçlanmıştır. Yabancı dilde eğitim yapan okulların amaçlarının belirlenerek, gerçek anlamda yapmak istediklerinin ortaya çıkartılması ve bugüne kadar ülkemiz sınırları içerisinde yaptıkları çalışmalarla toplumuzu nasıl etkilediklerinin incelenmesi, Kamu Yönetimi ve Milli Eğitim konusunda halen devam eden faaliyet olması nedeniyle önemlidir. Araştırmanın yönteminde tarihsel araştırma yöntemi ve konunun önemini neden sonuç ilişkileri içerisinde ayrıntısıyla açıklayan betimsel araştırma yöntemi birlikte kullanılmıştır. Konu incelenirken öncelikle temel bilgi olarak Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun genel durumu, misyonerlik faaliyetleri anlatılmıştır. Daha sonra yabancı dilde eğitim yapan okulların amaçları ve Türk toplumuna etkileri irdelenmiştir. Bulgular, öneriler ve çıkarılan sonuç özetlenerek çalışma sonlandırılmıştır. | dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the objectives of the schools that educated in a foreign language in the Ottoman Empire on May 19, 1919. It also investigates the historical development of those schools and their influences on Turkish society. It is of great importance to understand the real objectives of those schools specified above and their influences on our society since that specified date because such schools are still educating as a part of our national education and public administration in modern Turkey. This study benefits from a historical and descriptive research method that explains the importance of the subject by identifying reason and result relationships. The research, first of all, provides some basic imformation about the general situation of the Ottoman Empire on May 19, 1919 and the missionary activities within its borders; then it deals with the objectives of Turkish society and, finally, the study ends with a summary of findings, suggestions, and conclusions.
