| dc.description.abstract | Öz: Çalışmanın amacı fakoemüisifikasyon cerrahisinde bazen ciddi bir problem olarak karşılaşılan ön kamara kollapsını önlemek amacı ile geliştirilen vakum dalga önleyicisi [vacuum surge suppresşer (VSS)] cihazının etkinliğini araştırmaktır. Çalışma kapsamındaki 9 tavşanın 18 gö¬zünde fakoemüisifikasyon cerrahisi uygulandı. Buna göre tavşanların sağ gözlerinde VSS kulla¬nımlı, sol gözlerinde ise VSS kullanmaksızın fakoemüisifikasyon cerrahisi yapıldı. Cerrahi sıra¬sında fako süresi kronometre, bu süre içerisinde karşılaşılan ön kamara kollapsı ile iris titreşimi (flutter) ise rakamsal olarak değerlendirildi. Her iki grup gözler arasında cerrahi süresi açısından istatistiksel anlamlılık tespit edilemezken (U=24.5, p>0.05), karşılaşılan ön kamara kollapsı ve iris titreşimi sayılarında ise istatistiksel anlamlılıklar tespit edilmiştir (U=9.0, p< 0.005 ve U= 7.5, p< 0.005). Sonuç olarak, fakoemüisifikasyon cerrahisinde VSS kullanımının cerrahi sırasında ön kamara kollapsı ve beraberindeki iris titreşiminin önlenmesinde etkili ve ekonomik bir uygulama olduğu sonucuna ulaşıldı. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: Vacuum Surge Suppresşer Usage in Phacoemulsification Surgery of the Rabbit Eyes The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of the vacuum surge suppresşer (VSS) developed to prevent of anterior chamber collapse and iris flutter that are sometimes encountered as serious complications in phaco surgery. Phaco surgery was performed in 18 eyes of 9 rabbits. Phacoemulsification surgery was performed with VSS in the right eyes and without VSS in the left eyes of the rabbits. The phaco time during the surgery was measured with the chronometer. Anterior chamber collapse and iris flutter were, however, evaluated as a numerical. No statistically significant difference was detected in the phaco time between two groups (U=24.5, p>0.05). The difference in anterior chamber collapse and iris flutter was, however, statistically significant between two groups (U=9.0, p<0.005 and U=7.5, p<0.005). In conclusion, we reached that VSS usage in phacoemulsification surgery is effective and economic method in the preventing of anterior chamber collapse and iris flutter. | en_US |
