dc.description.abstractGenel anestezi ile yapılan göziçi operasyonlarında göziçi basıncının stabil olması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Propofol ve tiopentonun göziçi basıncı üzerine etkilerini incelemek amacıyla 30 olgu üzerinde çalışıldı.Bütün olgulara önce 0.15 mg/kg vekuronyum verildi.Olgular iki gruba ayrıldı. 1. gruba indüksiyon ajanı olarak 2.5 mg/kg propofol, 2 gruba 5 mg/kg tiopenton uygulandı, indüksiyondan önce ve indüksivondan sonra olmak üzere 6 kez göziçi basıncı ölçüldü. İndüksiyondan sonra propofol grubunda bazala göre % 8.2, tiopenton grubunda ise % 7.4 göziçi basıncı yüksek bulundu. Ancak istatistiksel değerlendirilmesinde ise anlamlı bulunmadı, (p > 0.01) Sonuç olarak propofol özellikle göziçi basıncının yüksek olduğu oftalmik operasyonlarda güvenle kullanılabilir. Vekuronyum ve propofolün birbiri ardınca hızlı anestezi indüksiyonu için uygun olabileceği ve propofolün indüksiyonda kullanımının tiopentona alternatif olabileceği kanısına vardık.en_US
dc.description.abstractIt is essential that intraocular pressure would be stable during the intraocular operations with general anaesthesia. The effects of propofol and thiopentone on the intraocular pressure were investigated on 30 patients. At first all the patients were given vecuronium 0.15 mg/kg via I V. injection. All the cases were divided in two groups.As induction agents the first group had taken propofol 2.5 mg/kg and second group thiopentone 5 mg/kg. Intarocular pressure was measured 6 times before and after the induction, /As compared with the basal values the intraocular pressure in the propofol and thiopentone group was found 8.2 % and 7.4 % high after induction. However statistical comparison of the groups was found insignificant ( p > 0 01). The result that propofol can be used safely during ophthalmic operations especially in high intra-ocular pressure. Vecuronium and propofol may be suitable for rapid sequence induction of anaesthesia. The use of propofol can be alternative to the thiopentone.en_US
