Özet
This chapter explores the relationship between organ transplantation and post-traumatic growth (PTG). It looks at the challenges faced by the individual transplant recipient, both alone and about the transplant process. It explores how, paradoxically, these challenges promote personal growth and resilience. The chapter reviews recent studies, discusses the experiences of transplant recipients, and focuses on the resources of PTG. The findings suggest that transplant recipients have a higher quality of life with a sense of renewal. The chapter finally proposes that one of the major avenues for future study in this domain should be the deeper exploration of PTG through qualitative investigations in order to help the clinical community in the development of interventions specifically targeted at transplant recipients and their path toward healing and flourishing. © 2025 Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
