Düşünce tarihi boyunca insan, evreni ve kendini açıklar iken 'kavramlar' üzerinden iş görmüştür. Düşünürlerin felsefelerinde mihenk taşı olan kavramlar, bulunduğu ortamda önemli yer tutarlar. Bu metnin mihenk taşı, düşünürleri yüzyıllarca meşgul eden özgürlük kavramıdır. Özgürlük, tüm kadim felsefeleri etkilemiş ve neredeyse tarih boyunca her filozofun ya da âlimin üzerinde konuşulmaya değer bulduğu önemli bir kavramdır. Çalışmamız dâhilinde bu kavrama, XII. yüzyılın önemli mutasavvıfı Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi'nin Mesnevi adlı eseri bağlamında incelenmiştir. Felsefi bir dil kullanılarak ve literatür taraması yapılarak yazılan bu metin, giriş ve iki ana başlık olarak tamamlanmıştır. Giriş bölümünde Mesnevi'de yer alan açıklamaların neye cevap olduğunun anlaşılması açısından tarihi arka plana yer verilmiş ve bununla birlikte Mevlana'nın yaşamı ve Mesnevi'ye dair kısaca bilgiler verilmiştir. Tasavvuf bağlamında özgürlük sorununun nerede başladığını ve Mevlana'nın nasıl bir entelektüel ortamı olduğunu bilmek, Mesnevi'deki yorumların daha doğru anlaşılmasını sağlamıştır. Böylece ilk bölümde Mesnevi bağlamında yapılan özgürlük kavramına ilişkin genel açıklamalar, özgürlüğün kader ve ilk günah meseleleri ile olan ilişkisini daha anlaşılır kılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise Mevlana'nın günümüzde yorumlanması ve güncellenmesi adına yapılan İslam coğrafyası ile Batı coğrafyasındaki çalışmalara yer verilmiş ve özellikle varoluşçuluk ve hümanizm ilişkileri özgürlük merkezli olarak açıklanmıştır. Çalışmamız, düşünce tarihi boyunca hep var olan özgürlük tartışmalarının Mesnevi'deki konumlanışını sunmak adına bir değinme yazısı olarak görülebilir.
During history of thinking; human have used "consepts" while explaining human being and universe. Concepts that are cornerstones in philosophies of thinkers, have the importance in this thinking systems. Cornerstone of this study is consept of "Freedom" which have occupied minds of thinkers for centuries. Freedom, had affected all of ancient philosophies and almost throughout human history, all philosophers or scholarly people have deemed this concept suitable of thinking and discoursing. In this study, we touched on this concept in the context of work by name "Mesnevî" of Mevlânâ Celaleddin Rûmî who important sufi lived in XII. Century. This study what is written with a philosophical wording and literature review, consists of introduction and two basic titles. In the introduction of this study, we gave a place a historical background for being understood explains that taking in Mesnevî, besides we spoke of Mevlânâ's life and informations about Mesnevî shortly. Knowing the answers of this qouestions; "Where did begin the freedom in the context of sufism?" and "How was the intellectual environment of Mevlânâ?", have ensured understanding commentaries in Mesnevî righter. In this way, general statements that related to the concept of "Freedom", and as part of Mevlânâ in first section; have provided the relation of the concept of "Freedom" with subjects of destiny and first sin, being them more understandable. And in second section, works that done for having commented Mevlânâ and updated today in West World and Islamic World, especially the relation of existantialism and humanism are explained in the centre of freedom. It is possible that our study is considered as a mention work for presenting position in Mesnevî of discussions of freedom that have been always throughout history of thinking.
