Geçmiş dönemlerde yaşamış ve Türk müziğine hizmet etmiş usta icracıların/bestekârların hayatları ayrıca geride bıraktıkları sanat ürünlerinin araştırılarak literatüre kazandırılması hem müzik bilimi hem de gelecek kuşakların faydalanabilecekleri materyallerin oluşturulabilmesi açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu düşünceden hareketle yola çıkılan araştırmada; Türk müziğinde önemli izler bırakan icracı/besteci Haydar TELHÜNER'in hayatı, sanatçı kişiliği, notaya alınmış ya da alınmamış bestelerinin tespit edilmesi ayrıca bu eserlerin çeşitli yönlerden analiz/tasnif edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma mevcut durumun belirlenmesine yönelik betimsel bir araştırma olmakla birlikte, kaynak taraması ve doküman incelemesinin de kullanıldığı nitel bir model içermektedir. Ayrıca tespit edilen eserlerin analiz/tasnif/yorumlama bölümlerinde nicel verilerden de faydalanılmıştır. Araştırma doğrultusunda başlıca; Haydar TELHÜNER'e ait olan birçok eserin repertuvarda kayıt altına alınmadığı, bazı kaynaklarda birçok esere kaynak kişi olarak gösterilmesine rağmen mevcut nota arşivlerinde bu notalarda isminin yer almadığı, kendisine ait olan ve arşivlerde yer alan -ulaşılabilen- yirmi iki adet eserin varlığı, bu eserlerin on sekiz tanesinin şarkı formunda dört tanesinin ise türkü formunda olduğu, bestelerinde on iki farklı makamı ustaca kullandığı, eserleri üzerinde yapılan analizlerde ise hicaz makamı ve düyek usulünü daha çok kullandığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. The lives of the master performers / composers who lived in the past and served Turkish music, and the research of the art works they left behind are of great importance in terms of both the science of music and the creation of materials that can be used by future generations. Based on this idea, the research aims to determine the life, the artistic personality of Haydar TELHÜNER, a composer and performer and his compositions which have been notated or not and to analyze / classify these works in various ways. The research is a descriptive research to determine the current situation, it also includes a qualitative model that uses literature review and document analysis. In addition, quantitative data were used in the analysis / classification / interpretation sections of the identified works. In line with the research, it was determined that many works belonging to Haydar TELHÜNER are not recorded in the repertoire, although he is indicated as a reference in many sources, his name is not mentioned in the notes in the note archives, there are twenty-two works belonging to him, which can be reached in the archives, eighteen of these works are in the form of songs and four are in the form of folk songs, he skillfully used twelve different makams in his compositions, and he used the Hejaz maqam and düyek method more in the analysis on his works.
