İbni Abdirabbih'in "el-İkd'ül-Ferîd" adlı eseri Arap dili ve edebiyatı açısından çok değişik konular hakkında bilgi veren bir genel kültür ve ontoloji kitabı olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu konulardan biri de Arap dili ve edebiyatının temellerinden sayılan ve şiirin bir bölümünü oluşturan tâziye ve mersiye konusudur. Bu eser özelinde tâziye ve mersiye konusunda Türkiyede yeterince çalışma yapılmadığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada İbni Abdirabbih'in hayatı, eseri, edebi kişiliği ve "el-İkdü'l-Ferîd" adlı eserinin konularına özet olarak değinilmiştir. Eserde müstakil bir bölüm olarak geçen ve çalışmamızın da konusunu oluşturan "tâziye ve mersiye" konusu etraflıca ele alınmıştır. Tâziye ve mersiye kavramlarının anlamları verilerek, tâziye ve mersiyeye dair şiir ve nesrin cahiliye ve sonraki dönemlerde geçirdiği evreler ele alınmıştır. Eserde ilgili bölümde geçen ve genel olarak ölüm öncesi söylenen sözler, ölüm esnasında dile getirilen şiirler, ölümden sonra ifade edilen tâziye ve mersiyeye dair Arapların dile getirdikleri nesir ve şiirlerin özellikleri geniş bir şekilde ele alınmış olup Arap edebiyatı açısından önemi vurgulanmış ve çalışma tamamlanmıştır. The work "el-ikd ul-ferid", of İbni Abdirabbih is evalmated as a book, giving various issues of general culture and ontology of Arabic language and culture. One of the subject, that composes the fundamentals of Arabic language and culture and one part of the poem is the the issue of condolence and coronarch. This work shows that there isn't enough study in condolence and coronarch in Turkey. This study includes the life of Abdirabbih, his works, the literary personaty and the summary of the work "el-ikd-ul-ferid". In the piece, the topic "condolence and coronarch" is mentioned as sovereign and is studied in detail. Also, it is tried to eliminate the lack of these terms in Turkey. The concept of condolence and coronarch has given, and it is dealed that the phose of poem and prose days of ignorance and following terms. In the piece, it is mentioned that the words that generally said before death, poems that expressal during death, the importance of poems and proses that Arabics mentioned about condolence and coronarch after death and the work is compeleted.
