Üstün yetenekli ilköğretim öğrencilerine yönelik manyetizma odaklı bir öğretim materyali (model) geliştirme

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen manyetizma konusuna odaklı ve teknoloji destekli bir öğretim Materyalinin üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin manyetizma ile ilişkili kavramları anlamaları üzerine etkisi incelemiştir. Bu amaçla gerçekleştirilen deneysel araştırmada tek gruplu ön test-son test modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi ise Malatya Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi'nde öğrenim görmekte olan ve üstün yetenekli olarak tanılanmış 8. Sınıf düzeyinde 28 öğrenciden (13 kız ve 15 erkek) oluşmaktadır. Teknoloji destekli üç boyutlu materyal (model) ile gerçekleştirilen etkinlik öncesi ve sonrasında manyetizma konusuna ilişkin katılımcıların kavrayışlarını belirlemek amacıyla açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan "Manyetizma Konusuna İlişkin Öğrenme Durumu Envanteri" ve yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ölçme aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Katılımcılara ön test ve son test şeklinde uygulanan her iki ölçme aracından elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise bağımlı gruplar için t-testine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların her iki ölçme aracına ilişkin ön test ve son test puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu ve bu farkın son test puanlarının lehine olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre manyetizma konusuna odaklı geliştirilen teknoloji destekli üç boyutlu modelin öğrencilerin manyetizma konularını öğrenmelerine anlamlı ve olumlu yönde etkisi olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

In this study, a teaching model based on magnetism and technology-supported was developed by the researcher and its effects on understanding of magnetism related concepts to gifted students are investigated. For this purpose, a single group pretest-posttest model was used. The sample of the study was consisted of 28 students (13 girls and 15 boys) at the 8th grade who were studying at the Malatya Science and Art Center and being recognized as gifted. In order to determine participants' knowledge about magnetism "Learning Level Inventory related to Magnetism " consisting of open ended questions and structured interview form were used as the measurement tools before and after the event realized with the technology supported three-dimensional model. In the analysis of the data obtained from both measurements, applied in the form of pretest and posttest, the t-test was applied to the dependent groups. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a meaningful difference between the participants' pre-test and post-test scores for both measuring instruments and that this difference was in favour of post-test scores. Accordingly, it has been observed that the technology-supported three-dimensional model focused on magnetism has a meaningful and positive effect on students' learning of magnetism.
