Toplum içerisindeki sorunlar gün geçtikçe artmakta ve bu sorunlara yönelik çözüm arayışları devam etmektedir. Ancak bu sorunları çözmek için devlet ve STK'lar yeterli kaynağa sahip değildir. Bundan dolayı, özel sektörün sosyal sorunlara çözüm arayışında yer almasına ihtiyaç duyulmuştur. Ayrıca sorunlara kalıcı çözüm arayan ve sosyal sorunlara duyarlı olan çalışanlara ihtiyaç duyan işletmeler için sosyal inovasyon yaratmanın önemi her geçen gün artmaktadır. Toplumdaki diğer bireyleri anlama ve doğru bir şekilde etkileşim kurma yeteneği olarak sosyal zekâ kavramı, sosyal inovasyon için gerekli bir nitelik olarak düşünülmektedir. Aynı zamanda bu kavramların bir işletmede var olabilmesi için bunlara imkân tanıyacak bir kültürün olması da gerekmektedir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın amacı, sosyal zekâ ile sosyal inovasyon ilişkisini incelemek ve bu kavramlar arasında kültürün aracı rolünü ortaya çıkarmaktır. Çalışmamız dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde sosyal zekâ, ikinci bölümde sosyal inovasyon ve üçüncü bölümde örgüt kültürü konusu teorik olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın dördüncü ve son bölümünde ise sosyal zekâ ile sosyal inovasyon ilişkisinde kültür tiplerinin aracı rolü incelenmiştir Ulusal literatürde sosyal inovasyon ile sosyal zekâ ve alt boyutları arasındaki ilişkiye dair herhangi bir çalışmaya rastlanmamıştır. Ayrıca sosyal zekâ, sosyal inovasyon ve kültür kavramlarının birlikte çalışılmamış olması araştırmanın özgünlüğünü ortaya koymaktadır. Araştırmada kültür tipleri, Cameron ve Quinn'in "rekabetçi değerler modeli" çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Modeldeki klan, adhokrasi, pazar ve hiyerarşi kültürü olmak üzere dört kültür tipi ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, İstanbul ilindeki iletişim, perakende, turizm ve seyahat hizmetlerinde faaliyet gösteren çalışanlardan oluşmaktadır. Nicel veri yöntemlerinden anket tekniği ile çevrimiçi ve yüz yüze olmak üzere 917 katılımcıdan toplanan verilerin analizi için SPSS 24.0 ve AMOS 22.0 programları kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda sosyal zekâ, sosyal inovasyon ve kültür tipleri arasında ilişkiler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Aracılık ilişkisine bakıldığında ise sosyal zekâ ile sosyal inovasyon ilişkisinde kültür tiplerinin (klan, adhokrasi, pazar ve hiyerarşi kültürü) kısmi aracılık rolü olduğu bulunmuştur. The problems in the society are increasing day by day and the search for solutions to these problems continues. However, the state and NGOs do not have sufficient resources to solve these problems. Therefore, there was a need for the private sector to take part in the search for solutions to social problems. In addition, the importance of creating social innovation is increasing day by day for businesses that seek permanent solutions to problems and need employees who are sensitive to social problems. The concept of social intelligence, as the ability to understand and properly interact with other individuals in society, is considered a necessary attribute for social innovation. At the same time, in order for these concepts to exist in a business, there must also be a culture that will allow them. In this direction, the aim of this research is to examine the relationship between social intelligence and social innovation and to reveal the mediating role of culture between these concepts. Our study consists of four parts. In the first part social intelligence, in the second part social innovation, and in the third part organizational culture issues were examined theoretically. In the fourth and last part of the study, the mediating role of culture types in the relationship between social intelligence and social innovation was examined. No study has been found in the national literature on the relationship between social innovation and social intelligence and its sub-dimensions. In addition, the fact that the concepts of social intelligence, social innovation and culture have not been studied together reveals the originality of the research. In the research, culture types were examined within the framework of Cameron and Quinn's "competing values culture model". Four types of culture in the model, namely clan, adhocracy, market and hierarchy culture, are discussed in the research. The sample of the research consists of employees working in communication, retail, tourism and travel services in Istanbul. SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs were used to analyze the data collected from 917 participants, both online and face-to-face, with the survey technique, which is one of the quantitative data methods. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that there are relations between social intelligence, social innovation and culture types. When the mediation relationship was examined, it was found that culture types (clan, adhocracy, market and hierarchy culture) had a partial mediating role in the relationship between social intelligence and social innovation.
