Türkçe öğretimi, dört temel dil becerisini (dinleme, konuşma, okuma, yazma) geliştirmek üzerine verilen bir dizi eğitim üzerine kuruludur. Bu eğitimin, sistemli biçimde gerçekleştirilmesi için kazanımlardan oluşan Türkçe Öğretim Programı ve programa göre hazırlanmış ders kitabı etkinlikleri yazılmıştır. Türkçe dersleri sınıf seviyelerine göre kazanımların edinimini sağlayan etkinliklerle yürütülmektedir. Ölçme ve değerlendirme çalışmaları da yine kazanımların edinimi çerçevesinde ele alınmaktadır. Bu sebeple kazanımların ediniminde etkinliklerin nitelikleri ön plana çıkmaktadır. Kazanımları karşılayan etkinliklerin disiplinler arası çalışmalardan oluşması, eğlenirken öğretmesi nitelik açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı da Türkçe öğretiminde temel dil becerilerinin altıncı sınıf öğrencilerine kazandırılmasına müzik içerikli etkinliklerin etkisini tespit edebilmektir. Araştırma 2019-2020 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı, Adana ili, Seyhan ilçesi, Seyhan Sakarya Ortaokulu 6. sınıf öğrencileri ile yürütülmüştür. Müzik içerikli etkinliklerin kullanıldığı çalışmanın uygulama süreci 12 hafta sürmüştür. Nitel ve nicel verilerin bir arada kullanıldığı çalışmada karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Her dil becerisi alanının kazanımlarına yönelik müzik içerikli etkinlikler hazırlanmış ve becerilerin edinimini ölçmek için karşılaştırmalı ön test-son test deney-kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmaya 34 deney, 34 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 68 altıncı sınıf öğrencisi katılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri; dinleme ve okuma becerisi başarı testleri, konuşma ve yazama becerisi dereceli puanlama anahtarları, kişisel bilgi formu ile toplanmıştır. Nitel veriler ise derslerin ardından uygulanan görüşmeler ile oluşturulmuştur. Kontrol grubunda MEB Türkçe dersi 6. sınıf Türkçe ders kitabı etkinlikleriyle deney grubunda ise müzik içerikli etkinliklerle ders işlenmiştir. Araştırmanın nicel kısmının verileri SPSS 23.0'ten faydalanılarak çözümlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde aritmetik ortalama, bağımlı gruplar için t-testi, bağımsız gruplar için t-testi, frekans ve yüzde hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizinde ise betimsel analiz tekniğinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına bakıldığında deney ve kontrol grupları arasında deney öncesinde dil becerileri bakımından anlamlı bir fark yoktur fakat deney sonrasında iki grup arasında dil becerilerinin gelişimi bakımından anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu fark özellikle konuşma becerisi alanında görülmektedir. Nicel verilerin yanı sıra öğrenci görüşlerine bakıldığında müzik içerikli dil becerisi etkinliklerinin her bir beceri alanının gelişimi açısından etkili olduğu görülecektir.
Teaching Turkish is based on a series of trainings to develop four basic language skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing). In order to carry out this education in a systematic way, the Turkish Curriculum consisting of achievements and textbook activities prepared according to the program were written. Turkish lessons are carried out with activities that enable the acquisition of acquisitions according to grade levels. Measurement and evaluation studies are also handled within the framework of the acquisition of gains. For this reason, the qualities of the activities come to the fore in the acquisition of gains. It is very important in terms of quality that the activities that meet the gains consist of interdisciplinary studies and teach while having fun. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of music-based activities on the acquisition of basic language skills in Turkish teaching to sixth grade students. The research was conducted with the 6th grade students of Seyhan Sakarya Secondary School in Adana province, Seyhan district, in the 2019-2020 Academic Year. The implementation process of the study, in which musical activities were used, lasted 12 weeks. Mixed research method was used in the study in which qualitative and quantitative data were used together. Music-related activities were prepared for the achievements of each language skill area, and a quasi-experimental design with comparative pre-test-post-test experiment-control group was used to measure the acquisition of skills. A total of 68 sixth grade students participated in this research, 34 of which were in the experimental group and 34 in the control group. Quantitative data of the research; Listening and reading skill achievement tests, speaking and writing skill graded scoring scales were collected with a personal information form. Qualitative data, on the other hand, were created through interviews applied after the lessons. While the MEB Turkish lesson was taught with 6th grade Turkish textbook activities in the control group students, the lessons consisting of musical activities were taught in the experimental group students. The data of the quantitative part of the research were analyzed and interpreted by using SPSS 23.0. In the analysis of the data, arithmetic mean, t-test for dependent groups, t-test for independent groups, frequency and percentage calculations were made. In the analysis of qualitative data, descriptive analysis technique was used. Considering the findings of the study, there is no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of language skills before the experiment. However, after the experiment, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the development of language skills. This difference is especially seen in the field of speaking skills. Considering the students' opinions as well as the quantitative data, it is understood that language skills activities with music content are effective in terms of the development of each skill area.
