Öğe Evaluation of Preschool Education Institutions 'Service and Quality Level In Meeting Parents' Expectations(Cukurova Univ, 2022) Arslan, Zekeriya; Emre, Oguz; Keskinkilic, Aysegul Ulutas; Ozyazici, KadriyeTarget of this research was to evaluate service and quality level regarding meeting expectation of parents of pre-school education institutions. The research reveals to what extent parents' gender, age, education level, number of children and income levels affect the quality of service they receive from pre-school education institutions. The working group of research consist of 428 mother-father who lived in the provinces Izmir, Diyarbakir, Zonguldak, KahramanmaraveKaraman in 2020-2021 education year. In the study, personal information form and Servqual Service Quality Scale were used to measure the expectation levels of parents from the pre-school education institutions. It has been observed that while the expectations of the parents from the institutions increase, the level of meeting the expectations also increases and the perception of meeting their expectations from the institution has an effect on the expectations from the institution.Öğe An Evaluation of Service Quality in Pre-School Education Institutions through Servqual Method: A Sample of Türkiye(Sosyoekonomi Soc, 2023) Emre, Oguz; Arslan, Zekeriya; Guven, Huseyin; Ulutas-Keskinkilic, AyseguelThe service quality of pre-school education institutions is a pivotal issue in meeting the expectations of education policies in Turkiye regarding solution proposals, institution adequacy and dissemination of pre-school education, and supporting children's development at a desired level. This study evaluates the service quality in pre-school education institutions through the Servqual method. The study's working group consisted of 428 parents whose children learn at pre-school education institutions in Izmir, Diyarbakir, Karaman, Kahramanmaras, and Zonguldak provinces during the 2020-2021 academic year. The study deployed the Servqual scale as a data collection tool. The results revealed that the parents' expectations were met regarding tangibles and empathy, while their expectations were unmet regarding reliability, responsiveness and assurance.Öğe The role of adolescents ' mental health and well-being in predicting their smoking status(W B Saunders Co-Elsevier Inc, 2024) Emre, Oguz; Ozyazici, Kadriye; Keskinkilic, Ayseguel; Arslan, ZekeriyaObjectives: This study aims to examine the relationship between adolescent's mental health, well-being and their tobacco use. Methods: The study employed a relational survey model. The sample consisted of 691 adolescents aged between 12 and 15. This study deployed Decisional Balance Scale to predict and define the adolescents' tobacco use, and the Me and My Feelings Scale to evaluate mental health and well-being. Multiple linear regression analysis was used during data analysis. Result: The results revealed that the emotional difficulties dimension of Me and My Feelings Scale had a statistically significant effect on the Decisional Balance Scale. However, the behavioral difficulties dimension did not have a statistically significant impact on the Decisional Balance Scale. Conclusions: Adolescents' mental health affects their tobacco use at the level of 2.3 %. A significant relationship was noted across the adolescents' mental health and their perceptions towards smoking.
