dc.description.abstractÇalışmada Malatya ili Çocuk Yuvası ve Yetiştirme Kurumundaki çocuklarda bağırsak parazitlerinin yaygınlığının araştırılması, 2000 yılında yapılan tarama ile karşılaştırılarak parazit görülme oranında değişikliğin oluşup oluşmadığının saptanması ve parazitlerden korunma yolları ile ilgili personele ve çocuklara bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada 0-18 yaş arası 227 çocuktan selofanlı lam yöntemiyle perianal bölge materyali ve dışkı örneği alınmış 84’ünde (%37.0) parazit bulunmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda, 2000 ile 2007 yılları karşılaştırıldığında, parazitoz oranında anlamlı bir düşüş belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Parazitin görülmesi ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmamıştır (p>0,05). Yaş grupları arasında yapılan değerlendirmede ise anlamlı bir ilişki gözlenmiştir (p<0,05). Ayrıca parazit görülme yüzdesinde (%55.0), 7-12 yaş grubu arasında da artış belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak ikinci taramada bağırsak parazitlerinin görülme oranının anlamlı olarak düşmesine karşın günümüzde halen bir sağlık sorunu olarak önemini koruduğu belirlenmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the incidence of intestinal parasites among nursery school and orphanage of Malatya was investigated, and it was aimed to compare the results of this study with our previous study results reported in 2000 based on whether there was a difference on the incidence of parasites or not. Also to the students and staff were informed about intestinal parasites. In this study, stool specimens and cellophane tape preparations from a total of 227 children in 0-18 age group were examined. Intestinal parasites were detected in 84 (%37) of 227 specimens. Compared 2000 year with 2007 year, according to the present results, there was significant decrease in prevalence rates of intestinal parasites (p<0.05). There wasn’t significant difference between sex and prevalence (p>0.05). Also there appeared significant relationship among groups of age (p<0.05). The increase in the prevalence of parasitosis (%55.0) was observed in the age group of 7-12 years. In conclusion, the present results show that intestinals parasites are still an important health problem while the prevalence rate of intestinals parasites decreased significantly in this study.en_US
