Özet

This descriptive study was conducted at a Training and Research Hospital between April 2024 and February 2025 to examine the relationship between nurses’ reproductive pressure and self-esteem. The study population consisted of 350 married female nurses working in the hospital, of whom 151 met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a personal information form, the Reproductive Pressure Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Before data were collected, ethics committee approval and institutional permission were obtained. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 28.0. The mean age of the nurses was 35.71 ± 7.86 years. 78.1% of the nurses had a bachelor’s degree, and 27.2% had 18 or more years of experience. The mean total reproductive pressure scale score was 0.31±0.89, and the mean total Rosenberg self-esteem scale score was 16.07±4.04. No significant relationship was observed between reproductive pressure and self-esteem (p = 0.62). In line with these results, it is recommended that similar research be conducted in different occupational groups and geographical regions. © 2026 The Author(s).
