Ortaokul öğrencilerinin ideal öğretmene ilişkin görüşlerinin karşılaştırılması (Şanlıurfa ili örneği)

Özet
Günümüz dünyasında her alanda ideali yakalamak bir hedef haline gelmiştir. Ancak ideal olanı belirlemek bir süreçtir ve bu süreç sürekli değişim göstermektedir. Eğitim alanında da ideal, genel anlamda tüm toplumların temel hedefini oluşturmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda ideal bireyi yetiştirmek için ciddi bir emek gerekmektedir. Serf edilecek bu emeğin büyük bir kısmı doğal olarak eğitim sistemlerinin temelini oluşturan öğretmenlerin çabalarının neticesi olacaktır. Neticede ortaya çıkacak olan bu eğitim-öğretim iklimi de ideal öğretmenin özelliklerinin belirlenmesine olanak sağlayacaktır. Bu açıklamalar çerçevesinde çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin bakış açısıyla ideal öğretmenin özelliklerinin belirlenmeye çalışılmasıdır. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın problem cümlesi olarak "Ortaokul öğrencilerinin ideal öğretmene ilişkin görüşleri nelerdir, görüşleri arasında farklılıklar var mıdır?" gibi sorular hazırlanarak öğrencilere yöneltilmiştir. Üstüner (2018) tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu olan "Kompozisyon Yazdırma Formu" ile veriler toplanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Şanlıurfa il sınırları içinde yer alan Harran ilçesinde öğrenim gören 339 ortaokul öğrencisinin yazılı görüşleri alınmış ve bu görüşler neticesinde elde edilen verilerin analizi NVivo programı vasıtasıyla değerlendirilmeye alınmış olup, öğrencilerin gözünde "ideal öğretmen" kavramının özellikleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, ortaokul öğrencilerinin ideal öğretmende en çok kızmayan, iyi iletişim kuran, adil, hoşgörülü, güleryüzlü, esprili, empati kuran, onları seven, gibi özellikleri görmek istedikleri sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca dikkat çekici bir şekilde öğrencilerin disiplini önemsedikleri sonucuna varılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca ideal öğretmenin ders anlatım becerileri de incelenmiş, bu açıdan öğrencilerin; dersi ilgi çekici anlatan, ders içinde ve dışında etkinlikler yapan, materyal kullanan öğretmen tercihleri öne çıkmaktadır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin ideal öğretmenin giyimine dikkat etmesi gerektiği hususuna önem vermedikleri görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin ideal öğretmende temelde somuttan daha çok soyut kavramlara önem verdikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin sınıf seviyeleri yükseldikçe ideal öğretmenden beklentilerinin de buna paralel olarak artış gösterdiğidir. Sonuç olarak tüm bulgular çerçevesinde ideal öğretmen özelliklerinin toplumda kabul görmüş ideal bir insanda bulunması gereken özelliklerle benzerlikler gösterdiği sonucuna varılmıştır. In today's world, catching the ideal in every field has become a target. However, determining the ideal is a process and this process is constantly changing. The ideal in education also constitutes the main target of all societies in general. In this direction, a serious effort is required to raise the ideal individual. A large part of this effort will naturally be the result of the efforts of teachers who form the basis of education systems. This educational climate, which will eventually emerge, will also allow the determination of the characteristics of the ideal teacher. The aim of this study is to determine the features of the ideal teacher from the perspective of secondary school students. In this context, as the problem statement of the research, "What are the opinions of middle school students about the ideal teacher, are there differences between their views?" questions such as were prepared and directed to students. Data were collected with the "Composition Printing Form", a semi-structured interview form developed by Üstüner (2018). Accordingly, the written opinions of 339 secondary school students studying in Harran district, which is located within the city limits of Şanlıurfa, were received and the analysis of the data obtained as a result of these views was evaluated through the NVivo program and the features of the concept of "ideal teacher" were revealed in the eyes of the students. According to the findings of the study, it was concluded that secondary school students want to see the features that do not get angry, communicate well, fair, tolerant, smiling, humorous, empathize, love them. In addition, it was concluded that students pay attention to discipline. The teacher skills of the ideal teacher were also examined in this study. The preferences of teachers, who instruct the lesson in an interesting way, do activities in and out of the class and use materials, come to the fore. In addition, it was observed that they did not care about the ideal teacher should pay attention to their clothing. It has come to the conclusion that students place emphasis on abstract concepts rather than concrete in the ideal teacher. As the grade levels of the students participating in the study increase, their expectations from the ideal teacher increase in parallel with this. As a result, it was concluded that ideal teacher features are similar to the features that should be found in an ideally accepted person in society.
