Özet
Mothers are affected psychologically and physically during the birth process. Some complaints are seen in mothers after cesarean and normal delivery and continue after delivery. In this study, it was aimed to re-evaluate the life quality, kinesiophobia, and balance depending on the chronic pain situation revealed in individuals after delivery and re-analyze whether delivery actions have a difference in these parameters. A total of 150 individuals, who delivered 75 normal and 75 cesarean, participated in the study. Sociodemographic data of individuals were evaluated with the Visual Analog Scale, P-36 Short Form of Quality of Life Scale, Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale, I-Qol Urinary Incontinence Quality of Life Scale, and Berg Balance Scale. While there was no significant difference between the groups in terms of smoking and alcohol use status, height and delivery number, more significant scores were found in the normal group in terms of education level and weight parameters (p<0.05).There was no significant difference between the groups in parameters of VAS, I-QOL, BERG balance, and TAMPA kinesiophobia, while Berg and Tampa scores were generally low. A significant difference was found between the groups with normal and cesarean delivery in terms of P-36 and its sub-parameters (p<0.05) and normal delivery scores were higher than cesarean section scores. As a result, it is seen that chronic pain revealed after normal and cesarean delivery causes similar changes in individuals except SF-36 and its sub-parameters. © 2023, Inonu University.
