Bu bölümde manifoldlara ilişkin bazı kavramlar ve yapı denklemleriyle bazı teoremler verilmiştir. İkinci bölüm üç alt bölümden oluşmaktadır.I.alt bölümde düzlemsel normal kesitli alt manifoldlar incelenmiştir.Ayrıca bir Öklidyen uzayın alt manifoldunun pointwise düzlemsel normal kesitlere sahip olması için gerekli şartlar verilmiştir.II.alt bölümde düzlemsel normal kesitli yüzeylerin bir sınıflandırılması yapılmıştır.III. alt bölümde ise bir kürenin düzlemsel normal kesitli alt manifoldları araştırılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde Geodezik normal kesitli Pseudo Öklidyen uzayın minimal yüzeyleri araştırılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT Master Thesis SUBMANİFOLDS WITH PLANAR NORMAL SECTIONS Feyza Esra Erdoğan İnönü University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Mathematics 56 + v pages 2003 Supervisor: Prof Dr. Rıfat Güneş This study consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, fundamental notions are given for a better understanding of the other chepters.In this chapter, some notions about diferentiable manifolds, structure equations and same theorems are given. Second chapter consists of three sections. In the first section, submanifolds with planar normal sections are investigated. And a necessary and sufficient condition is also given for a submanifold of Em to, have pointwise planar normal sections. In the second section,a classification of surfaces with planar normal sections is given. And finally in the third section, submanifolds with pointwise planar normal sections are investiagated in a sphere. In the third chapter, rrdnimal surfaces of pseudo Euclidean spaces with geodesic normal sections are studied. | en_US |
