Özet
In this study, determining the level of support for 21st century skills in the 2019 Primary School Turkish Curriculum from the perspective of classroom teachers was aimed. The study is a survey model research using quantitative method. All the data were obtained by using the scale prepared by the author. During the development of the scale, different sample groups were applied. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were used to ensure the construct validity of the scale. The developed scale was applied to 505 classroom teachers selected by disproportionate cluster sampling method. Independent groups t test, ANOVA test and Pearson correlation analysis to analyse the data has been used. It was observed that the Primary School Turkish Curriculum supports life and career skills in the high level; learning and innovation skills in the high level; and information, media and technology skills in the medium level. From the analysis, determined that teachers’ opinions differed significantly in all factors of the scale based on gender and awareness level variables, and only in the information, media and technology skills factor based on education level and grade level variables. No meaningful difference was found in all factors of the scale depending on the residential unit variable. No significant relationship was found between the teachers’ professional seniority and their mean scores on the scale. © (2025), (T.C. Milli Egitim Bakanligi). All rights reserved.
