Özet

Kolhberg's moral development is a theory that is categorized as pre-tradition, traditional and transcultural, and serves as a compass in terms of value transfer in learning environments. This theory is also an important criterion in evaluating the viewpoint of gaining individual and social value. This criterion varies from geography to geography, from culture to culture, from society to society and from individual to individual. The main purpose of this study is how this theory is perceived and evaluated in educational institutions in our society. In this study, opinions were taken through semi-structured interview form with teachers working in schools to reveal this perception and evaluated by subjecting them to content analysis. While determining the study teachers, random sampling method was used and 40 teachers from different branches were studied. The interviews with the teachers were made by the researcher and the opinions received from the teachers were grouped as sub-themes. Looking at the results of the study, it is seen that most of the teachers who make up the study group practically apply this model although they know it theoretically. © 2020 Published by ISRES Publishing
