dc.description.abstractMalatya ve çevresindeki ilköğretim okullarında kırma kusuru ve beraberindeki göz problemlerinin değerlendirilmesi. Materyal ve Metod: Çalışmaya Malatya ve ilçelerindeki 37 ilköğretim okulundan, 7-15 yaş arası 661 çocuk dahil edildi. Çocukların görme keskinliği Snellen eşeli ile alınıp, oküler motilite değerlendirmesini takiben, sikloplejik refraksiyon ile otorefraktometre yardımıyla kırma kusurları belirlendi. Beraberinde tüm çocukların ön ve arka segment muayeneleri de gerçekleştirildi. Bulgular: 661 çocuğun 327’si kız, 334’ü erkekti. Toplam 331(%50.07) çocukta kırma kusuru vardı. Kırma kusurlarının tiplerine göre dağılımı; miyopi 37 (%5.59), hipermetropi 19 (%2.87), miyopastiğmat 108 (%16.33), hipermetropastiğmat 105 (%15.8), mikst astiğmat 62 (%9.37) şeklindeydi. Kırma kusuruna ek olarak izlenen göz problemleri ise; ambliyopi 8 (%1.21), şaşılık 20 (%3.02), pitozis 4 (%0.6), keratokonus 3 (%0.45), konjenital katarakt 2 (%0.3) ve oküler travma 1 (%0.15) şeklinde kaydedildi. Sonuç: Çalışmamız Malatya ve çevresindeki kırma kusuru sıklığını değerlendiren ilk geniş çaplı çalışma olması bakımından önemlidir.en_US
dc.description.abstractTo evaluate refractive errors and ocular problems in primary schools in Malatya and around towns. Material and Methods: The study include 661primary school children between 7-15 years from 37 primary schools of Malatya and its interland. Vision of students were evaluated with Snellen chart after evaluation of eye movements. Cycloplegic refraction was measured by otorefractometer. In addition anterior and posterior segment examination were performed for all students. Results: In the study 327 students were girl, and the 334 were boys. Threehundered and thirtyone students (%50.07) had refractive problems. Thirtyseven (5.59%) of theese were myopia, 19 (2.87%) were hypermetropia, 108 (16.33%) were myopic-astigmatism, 105 (15.8%) were hypermetropic-astigmatism and 62 (9.37%) were mixtastigmatism. Addition to the refraction problems, 8 (1.21%) amblyopia, 20 (3.02%) strabismus, 4 (0.6%) pitosis, 3 (0.45%) keratokonus, 2 (0.3%) congenital cataract and 1 (0.15%) ocular trauma were diagnosed in the students. Conclussion: The study is important because of being the first study which evaluates the refractive problems in Malatya and its interland.en_US
