dc.description.abstractThe research has been conducted to evaluate the effect of mobile phone addiction in fathers on marital adjustment and father-infant attachment. This cross-sectional research was carried out between October 2020 and December 2021 in Family Health Centers (FHC) located in a province of Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. The research was conducted with 326 fathers registered in Family Health Centers (FHC). The data of the research were collected with the Personal Information Form, Mobile Phone Addiction Scale, Marital Adjustment Scale and Paternal-Infant Attachment Questionnaire. In the research, it was found that there was a significant difference between fathers' marital adjustment and education level, income level, family structure, and participation in the baby's care (p <0.05). In the research, a significant difference was found between father-baby attachment and family structure, number of children, whether the pregnancy was planned and participation in the baby's care (p<0.05). In the research, it was determined that as mobile phone addiction increased in fathers, marital adjustment and father-baby attachment decreased (respectively r:-0.281, r:-0.232; p<0.001). In the research, it was determined that fathers' mobile phone addiction had a negative impact on marital adjustment and father-baby attachment. © 2025, Inonu University. All rights reserved.
