Öğe Beliefs about personal competence among pedagogical formation students with regard to the teaching profession(Sakarya University, 2015) Aydemir H.; Karalı Y.; Akkaya S.This research was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the levels of sense of personal competence regarding the teaching profession, based on gender, by students receiving pedagogical formation training at the Inonu University Faculty of Education and the faculty of graduation. Four hundred four students receiving pedagogical formation training were included in the study. The “Teacher’s Sense of Personal Competence Scale” developed by Tschannen - Moran and Hoy (2001) and adapted to Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu, and Sarıkaya (2005) was used as a data collection tool in the study. The average (X), t-test, and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests were used in the data analysis. As a result of the research, the sense of personal competence felt by pedagogical formation students in regard to the teaching profession were found to be at a sufficient level, while their perceptions of personal competence were observed to show significant variance depending on the faculty of graduation and gender. © The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology.Öğe How do digital games utilization levels predict a teacher’s digital material development self-efficacy?(Birlesik Dunya Yenilik Arastirma ve Yayıncilik Merkezi, 2021) Akkaya S.; Kapıdere M.This study is a correlation research that aims to reveal whether digital material game usage sub-dimensions, gender, school level, in-service training for education in the digital environment, digital game playing status, devices and remote education variables, are significant predictors of digital material development self-efficacy level sub-dimensions. The study group consisted of 330 teachers. The study group consists of voluntary teachers from all education levels who provide remote education during the pandemic in Malatya city in the 2020–2021 academic year. This study found that there is a negative relationship between teachers’ seniority and Web 2.0 development self-efficacy; a positive significant relationship between attitudes to use digital games in the class and Web 2.0 development skills; higher design self-efficacy perception in teachers with in-service training compared to those who did not have in-service training; higher design self-efficacy for teachers with high attitude towards using digital games in class; and negative attitudes towards digital games increased as the negative perspective towards digital material development self-efficacy increased. Experimental and qualitative studies regarding digital game-based digital teaching material efficiency can be recommended. © 2021 Birlesik Dunya Yenilik Arastirma ve Yayincilik Merkezi. Additionally it is to find out the relation between their sex and faculty they have studied and the learning styles. The working group of the study is consisted of 470 students that receive training on Pedagogical formation in the Teachers College, Inonu University. For data collection, the Grasha-Reichmann Learning Style Scale, as adapted to Turkish by Sarıtaş and Süral (2010), has been used. The data thus obtained was analyzed by the statistics software SPSS 20. In the study, point mean was used to determine distribution level of the learning styles of the prospective teacher. For analysis of the resulting data, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis Test were used. As to the means in the lower dimensions of the learning styles of the pedagogical formation students, the dependent, independent, contributor, reserved and cooperative learning styles are found to be at the medium level, and the competitive learning style at the higher level. It is seen that the prospective teachers graduated from the Faculty of science/letters are more competitive than the prospective teachers graduated from the Faculty of theology in terms of learning style. In the comparison made by sex, it has been determined that the female prospective teachers are more collaborative and the male prospective teachers are more reserved. © The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology.Öğe Technological pedagogical content knowledge as a predictor of physical education and sports teachers' evaluations of distance education(Birlesik Dunya Yenilik Arastirma ve Yayıncilik Merkezi, 2021) Akkaya S.The aim of this study is to reveal whether physical education and sports teachers' technological pedagogical knowledge levels and some variables are significant predictors of distance education evaluation levels. The correlational design, in which the direction and strength of the relationship between more than one variable were investigated, was used in the study. The research group consists of 213 physical education and sports teachers. The data of the research were collected with the Technologic Pedagogical Content Knowledge Scale and Distance Education Evaluation Scale Technologic pedagogical content knowledge general level has increased distance education evaluation general level. Technology knowledge increased distance education evaluation general level, technical level and learning process level. Based on the results, it can be recommended that physical education and sports teachers should be given trainings to increase their technological pedagogical content knowledge levels with the aim of minimizing the problems experienced by physical education and sports teachers in the distance education process and increasing the quality of education. © 2021 Birlesik Dunya Yenilik Arastirma ve Yayincilik Merkezi.
